Please read this End User License Agreement ("Agreement") carefully before using the HotTakeCourt mobile application ("App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Subject to this Agreement, HotTakeCourt grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. You must create an account, are responsible for activity under it, and represent that the information you provide is accurate.
You may submit text and short-form video Takes, vote on others' Takes, and join collaborative stories ("Your Content"). You retain ownership of Your Content and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it within the App. You represent that you have the right to post anything you submit.
You agree not to submit content that:
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on the App. By using the App you agree not to post objectionable content (as described in Section 4) and not to abuse other users.
The App provides tools to keep the community safe:
We review reported content and act on objectionable material — including removing the content and ejecting the responsible user — within 24 hours. Content is screened by automated and manual moderation. We may suspend or permanently remove any user who posts objectionable content or abuses others, without prior notice.
The App may include labeled HTC Juror accounts, in-app Jury votes, and seeded or generated house content to keep the product active in low-traffic periods. HTC Juror accounts are operated by the App, may include profile text or automated activity indicators, may interact with other HTC Juror accounts, and may provide labeled in-app Jury votes on user takes as part of the entertainment experience. HTC Juror activity is not used to manipulate App Store or Google Play ratings, reviews, installs, or external rankings.
The App uses artificial intelligence to generate judge commentary on Takes. This content is automatically generated, does not reflect the views of HotTakeCourt, and is provided for entertainment only. AI commentary may be inaccurate, satirical, or exaggerated by design, and is screened by automated moderation before it is shown.
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose; reverse engineer, decompile, or extract its source; use unauthorized bots or automated scripts; impersonate any person or entity; gain unauthorized access to the App or its infrastructure; or interfere with its operation.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of this Agreement or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the App.
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HotTakeCourt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
This Agreement is between you and HotTakeCourt only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App and is not responsible for any claims related to it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this Agreement and may enforce it against you. In the event of any conflict between this Agreement and the App Store Terms of Service, the App Store Terms control.
